PRODUCTION ARTIST
SUMMARY:
The Production Artist is responsible for developing and producing artwork and design applications. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:
Creates artwork, using materials such as pens, ink, watercolors, charcoal, oil, or computer software.
Develops and designs new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks.
Integrates and develops visual elements, in order to produce desired effects, such as the illustration of ideas, emotions, or moods.
Confers with clients, editors, writers, art directors, and other interested parties regarding the nature and content of work to be produced.
Monitors events, trends, and other circumstances, research specific subject areas, in order to develop ideas and applications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Knowledge of marketing techniques and strategy. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Ability to develop creative ways to solve a problem. Ability to concentrate without being distracted.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor
