TECHNICAL INSTITUTE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

SUMMARY:

The Technical Institute Assistant Director is responsible for directing specific school programs or services. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:

Directs the activities of a professional and administrative support staff by interviewing applicants, hiring, providing training, reviewing work, terminating, assigning and reviewing work, and evaluating the performance of incumbents.

Directs fiscal activities by maintaining equipment inventory, authorizing purchases and disposition of supplies, preparing payroll, maintaining all fiscal books and records, and preparing budgets for submission to director for approval.

Directs institutional programs by coordinating curriculum development and class scheduling, selecting material and teaching aids, monitoring classes to evaluate course content and instructors
