EDUCATION & INSTRUCTION ANALYST
SUMMARY:
The Education and Instruction Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing educational and instruction related goals and objectives. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.
TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:
Conducts needs assessments to determine education and training needs.
Develops education/training modules for identified subjects, and researches and locates guest instructors based on results of needs assessment.
Coordinates specialized training, as needed or required.
Monitors all educational programs and takes appropriate action whenever a program is found to be in noncompliance with state and/or federal regulations.
Develops compliance action plans to address deficiencies.
Provides documentation of official training records to meet goals and objectives.
Provides technical assistance to provide help in understanding and implementing programs compliant with federal and state regulations.
Provides written and verbal technical assistance regarding regulations and procedures for licensure to education staff, and reviews and evaluates applications and supporting documentation for licensure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of training program development and presentation techniques. Knowledge of teaching principles and methods. Ability to research, develop, evaluate, and revise training programs. Ability to coordinate and conduct training programs. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records. Ability to review and analyze applications and supporting documentation. Ability to present ideas and information to large and diverse groups.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; plus two years of experience in educational planning and/or training and needs assessment.
Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education.
OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
