Direct Admission Program:

• Creates a direct admission program (DAP) for in-state applicants. Any state-supported university, college, or technical college may opt to participate in a statewide direct admission program that provides provisional student admission.

• Two work groups representing the 4-year and 2-year institutions have been created, and members will work with ADHE staff on the DAP implementation.
• Work group participants are completing surveys on admissions processes and data elements that will be needed for provisional admission.
• Upcoming admission criteria discussions will streamline the application process.
• Work to define specific criteria for the more detailed 4-year institution application will start soon.
• Discussions of application logistics to ensure best practices for implementation are ongoing.
