New Associate Director of Communications Named

LITTLE ROCK, AR (March 13, 2017) – The Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) announced today that Alisha Lewis has been named Associate Director of Communications, effective March 13.
Alisha’s duties include acting as agency spokesperson and promoting higher education initiatives in the state. Alisha is also responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the agencies marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal as well as the Arkansas Lottery Scholarship.
Previously, Alisha was the Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement at the University of Arkansas at Cossatot. Alisha was responsible for marketing, public relations activities, strategic communication, website maintenance, and foundation efforts. Prior to working at UA Cossatot, Alisha was the Marketing Officer for the southern region of First National Bank, now Bear State Bank.
The De Queen native holds a bachelor of arts in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master of science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville.

The Arkansas Department of Higher Education is responsible for carrying out the policy directives of the AHECB, reviewing college and university academic programs and developing funding recommendations for the state’s 11 public universities and 22 public two-year colleges as well as several other post-secondary entities.
